iZi is developing its ecosystem of microlearning products leveraging AI to help different learning communities in Southeast Asia access education speedily and conveniently using their mobile device. Our flagship product is Trainizi, a workplace learning platform for deskless workers, widely recognized as the 1st-prize winner of the 2023 ASEAN-Korea AI Youth Festa, Top 10 Techfest Vietnam, and featured on major media outlets including VTV1, Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Vietcetera, among others.

About the role:

As a Back-End Engineer, you will be an essential part of our product development team. Your primary role will involve co-initiating and developing core AI engines, smart data warehouse, stable and scalable infrastructure in parallel with developing BE for new features and improving the user experience for our products. This role offers an unique opportunity for individuals passionate about tech-enabled innovations, the power of data and the disruption of newest AI technologies, who are also self-driven and have effective critical thinking.

Description

• Collaborate with a diverse team of developers, designers, and product managers to evolve our AI-integrated, mobile-first platform.

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and deploy backend systems to support our applications.

• Assist in AI integrating functionalities into backend services, such as data processing, model serving, and inference pipelines.

• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices for accessing from the front-end applications and other systems.

• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, considering workloads and data processing requirements.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure high-quality code and maintainable software.

• Stay updated with the latest AI technologies, tools, and frameworks, and assist in researching and prototyping AI-related features.

• Provide technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues.

• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of RESTful APIs to ensure smooth operation and integration on mobile platforms.

• Participate in optimizing our application for maximum speed, scalability, and a flawless user experience across all mobile devices.

• Be a part of debugging to maintain a high level of quality and performance.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on mobile-first solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a research-driven mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability to new technologies and ideas.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to think outside the box.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python with a focus on backend development.

• Understanding of back-end development concepts, including RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database management.

• Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and frameworks, such as machine learning, deep learning, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborative development workflows.

• Prior experience with AI-related projects, coursework, or internships is advantageous but not required.
